Guatemala Mission

Learn, Serve, and Grow

At Big Stone Therapies, we’re inspired by the chance to extend care beyond our clinic walls, offering essential therapy services to underserved communities in San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala. Our biannual mission trip is an opportunity for our team to serve, connect, and grow alongside local residents, providing meaningful support and learning from a resilient, inspiring community.

Why We Serve

San Lucas Tolimán faces significant healthcare challenges, with limited access to therapeutic services. Our mission trip is a response to this need and a way for our team to live out our values-Faith, Family, Fairness, and Fun. We partner with the Friends of San Lucas Mission and their healthcare teams, providing culturally relevant, sustainable services that uplift community members and create lasting impact.

"Being in San Lucas was both humbling and eye-opening. The community's warmth and resilience left an impression I'll never forget." - Nikki, SLP

Highlights of Our Mission

Our team works directly with San Lucas Mission partners, providing hands-on physical therapy, education, and workshops. Each trip is a week of transformative work and shared learning, as we deliver therapy, address musculoskeletal challenges, and empower individuals with tools to improve mobility and strength.

"The trip reminded me why I became a therapist: to help people live fuller, more comfortable lives." - Morgan, PT

Transforming Lives - Theirs and Ours

For our volunteers, this mission is more than a service opportunity; it’s a time of personal and professional growth. The experience of working in a different cultural context broadens our team’s perspective, deepens empathy, and reaffirms our commitment to making a difference.
